Slay the Spire is a rogue-like game in which you battle your way up a spire, choosing from multiple directions and facing random events, fights and resting spots. Combat is essentially a single-player card game where you use cards to damage enemies, buff yourself or protect against enemy damage. Each of the four characters have their own play style and unique gimmicks. You can also find relics that provide passive bonuses to help you progress further in your run.
