Boyfriend Dungeon is a unique mix of a dungeon crawler and visual novel where your weapons are also your love interests. The combat is simple but fun, with each weapon having different skills and buffs as you level up your relationship with them through dating. The game also offers great queer representation, with non-binary characters and the ability to date anyone regardless of gender. However, the game's major flaw is its length, with only two dungeons and a short storyline. The customization options and music are fantastic, with the voice acting also being top-notch. Overall, Boyfriend Dungeon is worth playing, but it could use more content.

Pros:
  • Simple and fun combat system
  • Great queer representation
  • Unique relationship between wielder and weapons
  • Good customization and music
  • Superb voice acting
Cons:
  • Short and lacking storyline
  • Only two dungeons
  • Repetitive enemies and limited magical abilities
  • Lack of challenging gameplay
  • Fast-paced summer makes bonding with later characters difficult
